Bid 17-020 Group I and Group II Asphalt Material Bid
Construction- Infrastructure (Horizontal)
Sealed bids will be received by the Purchasing Department, 150 Dexter Court, Elgin, Illinois until 11:00 A.M., local time, on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 for the Group I and Group II Asphalt Material Bid (Bid Number 17-020). At that time the bids will be publicly opened and read at the Purchasing Department in the City Hall located at 150 Dexter Court, Elgin, Illinois 60120.
The scope of work consists of supplying the City of Elgin with Group I and Group II asphalt material as set forth in the bid documents. The contractor may bid on one or both asphalt materials and an individual low bidder will be selected for each Asphalt Material Group.

The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a satisfactory contract bond to the City of Elgin by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Illinois covering the full amount of the contract. This project must comply with the City of Elgin’s Residency and Responsible Bidder’s Ordinances. The successful bidder shall pay prevailing wage and shall provide certified payrolls to the City for the duration of the project.
Electronic copies of the specifications, proposal, and the contract pre-loaded on a CD may be obtained for a non-refundable fee of $10.00 from the Purchasing Department located at 150 Dexter Court, Elgin, Illinois 60120. Hard copies will be made available upon request for a non-refundable fee of $50. Receiving a paper copy may take up to 2 business days. A CD can be sent 1st class mail for a fee of $15 or using the bidder’s FedEx account.
