The Human Resources Department is charged with ensuring the City has a competent and diverse workforce dedicated to meeting the City's goals. To fulfill this mission, the department is guided by the following directives:
Publish information about City employment opportunities;
Perform outreach, recruitment, and screening;
Develop and implement policies and procedures;
Research, instruct, and comply with employment law and fair labor standards;
Foster supportive interactions among and between employees, facilitating conflict resolution when necessary; and
Maintain a positive, productive, skill-based work environment conducive to a high level of employee satisfaction.
