Formally opened in 1903, Wing Park has a rich history of providing a multitude of amenities to residents. This 121-acre regional park is home to the Wing Park Bandshell and is active with many musical performances in the summer months. It is also a destination for families with the Wing Park Aquatic Center and the 9-hole Wing Park Golf Course. Besides the destination venues, this park offers basketball, tennis, sand volleyball and a large playground to users. A little league baseball complex also is located in the park. Picnickers have two permitted picnic shelters to use in the heavily wooded, rolling terrain parcel. A paved path allows users to traverse the length of the park by hiking or biking.
There are two rentable shelters located in Wing Park. Sheter 1 is near the playground and seats up to 70 people. This shelter is equipped with electricity. Shelter 2 is located near the golf course and also seats up to 70, but does not have electricity. To rent a shelter, visit the Main Courtesy Desk at The Centre of Elgin.
